Cider time

There are still quite a large amount of apples around here and this fall weather has made it perfect for making cider!! The kids all had the best time and boy did they work hard. They were picking apples, washing them, feeding them into the press, pressing them, and pouring the cider over the cheesecloth to strain it into jugs. I think they all learned a lot. There was the tractor rides, climbing trees....well all of it really was just a blast!

Mmmm, yummy stuff!

That looks like so much fun! Hope everyone's recovered now.
I have a question - is apple cider apple juice?
I've always wondered.

Wow! What fun! We went to the apple orchard yesterday and picked a bushel of apples, but I don't have any idea how to make cider!

that looks like fun! I love cider and I have tons of frozen apples from earlier this year. Every once in awhile I take some out for pie, but that's it.
