How in the world did that get THERE?

This morning I got the kids ready and treked off to our homeschool group. We spent a few hours there and then came home to eat lunch. The kids came in the house and removed their shoes, went up the stairs and ate. A few minutes later I told everyone to get ready, we needed to go back into town to the store.

After searching and searching for Abram's shoes (which he just took off!) we could only find one. Fine, I found a different pair and off we went. Into the store, got what we needed and drove back home.

About two blocks from home I was about to turn down our street and I saw something off to the side of the road.

A shoe.

Abram's shoe.

Two blocks away on the side of the road.

HOW IN THE WORLD, DID IT GET THERE??

I'm sure there's some logical explaination, like it was on top of the van and slid off or something, but it just boggles my mind.

That is too funny! So often I have questions there will never be answers to.sigh... Just a thought... do you have running boards?? Maybe it was sitting on the running board and fell off at that point??? I have put a diaper on ours and it stayed on all the way home.
I am glad you found the shoe. Think of all the time finding it saved:))

I'm smiling:) At least it's validation that you really did look everywhere and couldn't find it. Now if we could only find all those lone socks that have walked off!

You have discovered the Black Hole!! From now on I will be sure to check up and down the road a few miles when I can't find something.

That is amazing that you found it. Last place you thought to look I'm sure.
Glad you guys found a homeschool coop over there. I know that is a big highlight in the week for my kids.

That is so funny! It would drive me crazy not being able to know how the shoe got there. I like to figure things out and that one stumps me. That is crazy that you found it at all.

That is so strange - wonder how it really did.
