This picture was taken on our first day home from the hospital, Kathleen at 2 days old.
It also happened to be my sweet daughter Amanda's 9th birthday that day. :) I thought it was pretty special that she got to meet her new sister on her birthday.
Little miss has spent most of the week looking like this, peaceful, adorable and sleepy.
And then there's Noah. My huggable 15 month old. He's been crawling a couple of months now with no attempts at walking...then guess what he decided to do this week? Yep, he's toddling all around now!
On a sentimental note, see the pj's he's wearing now? These are hand me downs I was given when my oldest was little. They were from a very nice friend. Now, they have been worn by all of her children and 7 of mine. It's going to be a sad day when they wear out.
We have also been extremely blessed with FOOD this week. The church has provided dinner meals each evening, as well as two of our neighbors. Ian's co-workers have also been very thoughtful, they brought by a couple of meals and several bags of non-perishable food like granola bars, apple sauce, cereal and such. Very practical and much appreciated!

Kathleen is SO beautiful!
Ohh how I miss a tiny baby in the house...
Love that you've been blessed with food, it's a good thing!
I had a feeling, before I even clicked on the link about the jammies. I just had a feeling who's they were! That almost made me cry!!! So neat!
I'm glad you guys are finding your niche there in the Midwest. I'm so pleased that people are speaking your love language! Meals after you have a baby are THE BIGGEST BLESSING!
I've been canning salsa lately and it makes me think of you guys and how much Ian liked the salsa.
Kathleen is yummy!!!
Take care.
Oh, she is so, so precious! Congratulations again!
I really like this post.. I needed some news that woudl make me smile this week.. you've done it :)
God Bless you and your precious family!
ps - LONG live the jammies!
Wow, there's 15 months between by youngest two children, and the toddler also started walking the same week I brought baby home from hospital. What a coincidence!
How cute that the PJs lasted for all those babies!
What a beautiful new addition to your family. That is cool that Amanda gets to share her birthday. I share mine with my brother and we're about eight years apart. Very cool! Congratulations. I'm glad they're taking car of you out there. :)
What a major week!
:) The pj's make me smile. That is definitely a different kind of a family heirloom!
Friends are true blessings. I don't know what I'd do without my amazing church family and even my online friends!
