Power Outage

This morning I was sitting at the table having some school time with my kids when we heard a boom sound outside and instantly our power went out. Hmm, not good I thought. I called up the power company to notify them and they said they'd send someone to investigate.

About an hour later the kids and I were getting antsy so we decided to go for a short walk. We got about half way up our drive way when two power company trucks pulled in. They stopped by the pole...


Then two guys get out and say "yep, typical dead squirrel." At first I thought they were joking...then I saw it....

We watched as they replaced a fuse. It was actually pretty interesting to see the guy get in the little bucket lift and use his long pole reach up and connect it.

Voila, power back!
