Necessary is all relative

Living on an island has brought about many thoughts on just what is necessary. We don't having any major shopping stores, there are two local grocery stores a pharmacy and that's about all. So if we want something or to go do something it involves a lot more preparation and time aka ferry trip. Noticing these things led me down another thought trail as I'm planning to get in the van today and drive to the OB doctor. Hmm, how often really is necessary? By the grace of God all of my pregnancies have been very uneventful/textbook. Here I am, now in my last month of pregnancy with baby number 7 and the doctor wants to see me once a week. Do I really need to drive across the ferry, arrange for late appts. to ensure Dh can be with kids just so that I can be weighed & measured? I'm really tempted to go in today and then just wait and show up when I'm in labor.

I could just be a good little patient and submit to the doctors wishes

What to do....What to do?

Since I'm talking about pregnancy and I'm feeling a bit bored today (and a bit crazy) I'm going to give you updated photos of me :)

My belly has grown...hopefully not too much more before the little guy decides to come out!

I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone. Of course, that could be because I'M not the pregnant one here.

Or maybe it's because you're a freak of nature and you stay slim and un-pregnant looking for so long.

You look really cute. Not sure about the appt. thing. That's totally up to you. :)

So, you're bored today, huh? Me too...that's why I'm still on the computer reading blogs.

I'm bored too!! I've been bored a lot lately, with Dave home and feeling like I'm being naughty and lazy all the time!!!

Pregnancy really becomes you! You are carrying so high. I always carry down in my knee area!!!

I'm not sure what to tell you about the appt thing either. I know it can seem like a hassle, but don't you get to hear your baby's heartbeat at every appointment? Isn't that so reassuring?

Maybe you should just keep the appointments. Trust me.

But you have to decide on your own.

Yep. That's me. Big help!!

I guess it from my comment it sounded like Dave was telling me how naughty and lazy I'm being all the time!!!

That's not it at all!!

I just feel so not-like-doing-anything-I-should-be-doing!

That's all!

My goodness, you are SO small for being so far along (I mean that in a nice, healthy way...not a malnourished one or anything..LOL!).
As far as the Dr. goes, I am all for waiting it out. I guess I just think that you have had enough experience to be able to tell if something wasn't quite right. I dunno...
